Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been on a double date at the Nobu restaurant in Malibu.
The duo enjoyed a two-hour dinner at the eatery with their partners Jennifer Garner and Luciano Barroso, reports People.
A witness commented: “Ben and Matt were entertaining the girls with stories, and they were all laughing a lot.”
The group toasted Affleck and Garner’s third wedding anniversary during the dessert course.
“Jen and Ben were in a great mood, and they left Nobu hand in hand,” added the source.
Last week, Garner and Affleck rubbished allegations that they were on the verge of a split.

They’re some of the sexiest men on the planet, for certain. They’re also some of the do-goodingest.
George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon are directing their collective goodwill toward Myanmar, asking the country’s political powers that be to allow foreign-aid workers into the cyclone-ravaged region and urging neighboring nations to send any help they can.
Not On Our Watch, the activist group of which the trio are founding fathers (along with Ocean’s abettor Don Cheadle), has already donated $500,000 to the relief effort. The organization has now launched a campaign asking others to do the same, beginning with a full-page advertisement in the English-language Jakarta Post newspaper.
“Burma’s neighbors have the power to help victims who remain desperately in need,” the ad reads, according to Agence France-Presse. It is signed by political and social heavyweights, including Philippine President Corazon Aquino, East Timorese President Jose Ramos-Horta, former Czech Republic President V
Damon movie films in Makaha

If you’re out at Makaha this week and you see Matt Damon, don’t blink. He won’t be there long. The popular actor will be in Hawai’i to film a short segment for the upcoming Warner Bros. movie “The Informant.”
“We are only shooting for 20 minutes, in and out,” said Spooky Stevens, publicist for the production. “We’re only in Hawai’i for 48 hours. It is just one quick little scene we need in Hawai’i. Most of this will be interior shooting, oddly enough.”
Damon plays whistleblower Mark Whitacre in the true story about a price-fixing scheme involving agribusiness giant Archer Daniels Midland Co., which involved the company in a federal court case based in Illinois. The saga later became a novel by Kurt Eichenwald.
Whitacre was a rising star at Archer Daniels Midland in the early 1990s when he began to secretly gather hundreds of hours of video and audio evidence about the company’s price-fixing tactics. He would later turn it over to the FBI, which just this spring publicly lauded Whitacre as “a national hero” because of what he did.
Damon and crew are said to be shooting at Makaha Valley Country Club, but Stevens would not confirm the location. “We are a closed set,” he said. “We don’t discuss where we are shooting.”
Makaha was the setting, however, for a secret meeting in March 1994 between Whitacre and an executive from Japanese agricultural company Ajinomoto, which eventually paid heavy fines in connection with its part in an illegal cartel.
According to federal court papers, they chose the location because it was convenient and the golf there was good.
“The Informant” is scheduled for release in March 2009. The film is being directed by Steven Soderbergh.
Damon has appeared in “Ocean’s Eleven,” “The Bourne Identity,” and those hit movies’ sequels.
The filmmakers will be bringing only a few of the actors. They previously advertised in Hawai’i on Craigslist .com for background extras. “We are bringing some crew and Matt Damon and a couple of actors you never heard of,” Stevens said. “We have a cast that is pretty much unknown.”

Matt Damon has signed up to star as South Africa rugby legend Francois Pienaar in a new film, Variety magazine reports.
Damon will star alongside Morgan Freeman in the Clint Eastwood-directed Human Factor, due to being filming in South Africa next year.
The film will focus on the life of the former South African president Nelson Mandela, played by Freeman, after the fall of the apartheid and during the campaign to host the 1995 Rugby World Cup.
The host nation went on to win the tournament after defeating New Zealand 15-12 in the final.
The World Cup ended with the iconic image of Mr Mandela dressed in a South African rugby shirt and cap handing Pienaar the famous Webb Ellis trophy.
The film will be based on the book, The Human Factor: Nelson Mandela and the Game that Changed the World, written by John Carlin.
And the screenplay for the big screen adaptation is being penned by Anthony Peckham.
