Hey everyone! How has everyone been? I hope you are well 
Anyways, I am adding this appearence Matt made on a TV Show called “Let’s Go to School” its a Japanese show. Matt whistles “We are the World”, puts on weird glasses, and taps along. Check it out. I have no idea whats really going on but that’s what I think is happening. Also, I have these unknown candids of Matt at a Little League Game in Miami a couple weeks ago which I added to his and Luciana’s candid shots at the Gone Baby Gone Screening.

So I finally got around to scanning Matt Damon on People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive issue. It is a 10 page article with some nice words by Ben Affleck as well as George Clooney. I decided that I would not tag this article because it actually takes away from the scans so I am leaving them untagged for all of you, so please do not repost them elsewhere. Also, Matt actually is not interviewed in it but he does write an endearing letter that is a must read. So I hope you enjoy the scans

Who’s the “Sexiest Man Alive”?
Matt Damon, that’s who, according to People magazine.
This is the 23rd year the publication has bestowed that title.
Last year, George Clooney took it, for the second time. The first winner? Mel Gibson in 1985.
People staff writer Ericka Souter gave all the buzz behind the latest selection on The Early Show Wednesday.
Others in the running included David Beckham, Brad Pitt, Patrick Dempsey (of “Grey’s Anatomy”), Jake Gyllenhaal, Matthew McConaughey, Justin Timberlake, Shemar Moore (of “Criminal Minds”), Taye Diggs (the stage and screen actor/singer), Gerard Butler (of “300″), and Josh Bernstein (of “Josh Bernstein’s Adventures,” Discovery Channel).
Souter explained that readers let People know who they think is sexy, and editors take that into consideration. People editors have their favorites, too. They sit around a table and discuss it, and, she kidded, they all “dread” looking at pictures of the gorgeous!
She also revealed an unusual turn of events for People: When Damon learned he was chosen—he turned them down! Damon wrote People a “fabulous” letter explaining that he doesn’t normally talk about his personal life. He said he was blushing when he read that he had been picked. While he got a huge kick out of the nod, he didn’t feel worthy, he said. “You just gave an aging suburban dad ego boost of a lifetime,” he wrote.
But People persisted, and decided Damon was still its “Man.” In fact, the letter ended up backfiring for Damon—since it reflected all the things People’s editors love about him, including his “irresistible sense of humor,” his dedication to his family, and his “heart-melting humility.” Damon wound up giving People permission to reprint the letter, in this week’s issue.
People also talked to friends of Damon who’d held the title of “Sexiest Man.” The 2002 winner, Ben Affleck, told the magazine what a great guy Damon is. And last year’s winner, Clooney, joked with People that, while he’s reluctant to give up the crown, he and Pitt have been campaigning for Damon for years.
Meanwhile, who does Damon think should be named Sexiest Man Alive? In his letter to People, the actor suggested New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. Brady’s response? “Matt and I always argue about who’s sexier!”

Matt, ‘Bourne’ lead People’s Choice nods

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 9 (UPI)—U.S. actor Matt Damon and his Hollywood blockbuster “The Bourne Ultimatum” lead the field of nominations for the 34th People’s Choice Awards.
The thriller has been nominated in the categories for favorite movie, action movie and “threequel,” while Damon got the nod for favorite male action star.
Other multiple nominees include “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” and “Transformers,” which will challenge “Bourne” for the favorite movie title, People.com reported.
Damon will have to fight off Bruce Willis and Johnny Depp if he wants the favorite male action star honor.
The winners will be announced on a CBS telecast on Jan. 8.

Hey everyone! Some of you may have noticed—though I did not— that our comments just randomly stopped working with cutenews. With the other numerous errors in Cutenews, I decided that it was time to switch to another blogging tool and I was SO HAPPY to have stumbled upon FanUpdate. Since Wordpress confuses me, I loved this easy to install and workable script, which is SO great and was absolutely painless in switching from Cutenews. We still have our old news but have lost some new comments (that was Cutenews’ fault because it deleted our comment database) which is great!
So there are some changes to the news. One, YOU CAN COMMENT AGAIN! Secondly, the site’s complete archive of news (dating back to when it was MattDamonFan.Com) is accessible below either by month or by searching (seriously it is that awesome!). Thirdly, the site’s comment are now CAPATCA which makes Gertie and I very happy. Its the funny lettering you have to enter but now it protects our site from spam bots which have been re-occurring every few months. Fourthly, the admin interface is awesome! So I hope that we start to get some comments again and that you enjoy the new and improved news/comments on the site.

BEN AFFLECK turned to MATT DAMON for help as he struggled with the final cut of his directorial debut, GONE BABY GONE. The Good Will Hunting star, 35, admits he had been “agonising” over some of the scenes in his new movie, which stars his brother Casey as a private detective searching for a missing four-year-old girl.
He tells U.S. talkshow host Larry King, “Matt was very helpful, actually. I kind of waited to show it to him until I was in the middle of cutting the movie… and he was very helpful. “I had a few decisions that I was agonizing over and I showed it to him. And he had some really good ideas, not surprisingly, a very smart guy, and he has been very supportive of the movie.”
