Feb 23 Matt Damon And Wife Luciana Barroso Fall Out Over Downton Abbey 0
Filed in: Personal News

Matt Damon has admitted that he fell out with his wife, Luciana Barroso, because of Downton Abbey.

The actor revealed on The Graham Norton Show, which airs tonight, that he and his wife are huge fans of the show and enjoy nothing more than cuddling up together to watch the ITV drama.

But recently, things took a nasty turn when Matt got home and Luciana admitted she’d watched six episodes without him.

The star said: “My wife is an addict. It’s a problem. We were supposed to watch it together and I came to bed one night and she said, ‘I’ve just watched six of them- I’ll tell you what happened!’

“She wanted to watch the seventh and didn’t want to go back to the beginning. So she’s done the whole thing and I am on my own.”

Wow, it all goes on in Hollywood!
With these recent revelations, could Matt be hinting at wanting a role in the ITV1 period drama? Fellow Hollywood-star, George Clooney, has admitted that he’d love to be part of the show, but doesn’t think his British accent is quite up to scratch.

The actor told The Sun Newspaper: “We all love that show, it’s huge. I am too lowly for a part, I don’t think they want me.
“I can’t do the accent either. It’s all very Dick Van Dyke.”

So will these Hollywood stars be swapping the big screen for the small one? Probably not, but we’d love it if they did!

Jan 7 Matt Damon Sports Arm Sling at LAX 0
Filed in: Personal News

Matt Damon was in high spirits despite his arm injury. The “Elysium” star was spotted at LAX on Saturday, January 4 wearing an arm sling. The actor, however, was all smiles when photographers took his photos. Wearing a black top, jeans, a cap and sneakers, Damon carried one of his daughters’ Twinkle Toes backpack while making his way through the terminal.

Damon reportedly broke his collarbone while mountain biking over the holiday. The blue sling was first seen on December 22. At that time, Damon was spotted wearing the arm sling when he took his daughters to dinner in L.A.’s Brentwood neighborhood.

The “Behind the Candelabra” star, who has three children with his wife Luciana Barroso and becomes the stepfather of her daughter Alexia, recently moved from New York to Los Angeles. “Our oldest one is excited. The younger ones, I think it’s kind of hard for them to grasp it,” Damon told Us Weekly in August. “They’ll have a yard, and they’re really excited about that. That’s not something you get [in New York City].”

Damon will next be seen in a George Clooney-directed movie “The Monuments Men”. It tells the story of seven museum directors, curators, and art historians who want to rescue art works which were stolen by Nazi thieves. Other stars such as Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett also take part in the movie which is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on February 7.

Matt Damon and his wife of nearly eight years, Luciana Barroso, renewed their vows Saturday on the beautiful Caribbean island of St. Lucia, reports Us Weekly, with approximately 50 friends and family in attendance including best bud Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner.

Damon rented out the island’s entire Sugar Beach Resort at a reported six-figure price, according to Us, and exchanged vows at sunset under thatched roofs in a 15-minute ceremony. The groom wore a tan-colored suit and flip-flops, while the bride wore a cream-colored gown with a sequined belt, with the couple’s daughters in light-colored dresses to match their mother.

The approximately 50 guests, which included Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones (according to, wore shades of cream and ivory and enjoyed a cocktail reception on the beach following the vow renewal.

Damon first married Barroso, a former bartender, in a private civil ceremony back in December 2005, and sources tell Us that the star and his bride have wanted to throw a larger celebration with family and friends for quite some time.

Mar 3 Matt Damon organizing secret second wedding with wife Luciana 0
Filed in: Personal News

After a low-key ceremony in Manhattan, New York’s City Hall in 2005, Matt Damon and wife Luciana are currently planning the wedding they were never able to have–one that will take place at a top-secret location and be more extravagant than the first.

According to The New York Post, after meeting on the set of “Stuck on You” in 2003, Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso wed in a small ceremony at the City Hall in Manhattan two years later. Damon admits that Mayor Bloomberg was the only witness outside of their immediate families. Furthermore, there was no time for a honeymoon as Damon immediately flew to London to film The Good Shepherd.

Since their first wedding was far from ideal, the two are devising a second, seeking “something bigger” than their original, reports a source close to the action.

The couple sent out “save the date” cards to family and friends over Oscar weekend but even the invited guests do not know the location for the April bash as of now.

Although most of the details are not being revealed, one requirement for all attendees is: no kids are allowed.

Unfortunately, that most likely means the Damon’s four daughters, Isabella, Gia, Stella, and Alexia, will be unable to participate in the festivities.

Besides planning weddings, Matt Damon has other acting obligations. IMDb confirms he has several projects in the works, including a soon-to-be-released TV movie called Behind the Candelabra.

Nov 17 Damon says ‘No Acting for Kids’ 0
Filed in: General News , Personal News

Matt Damon hopes his daughters never follow him into acting because Hollywood is so unfair to women.

The 41-year-old actor – who raises Alexia, 14, Isabella, six, Gia, four and 23-month-old Stella with wife Luciana -is horrified by how Hollywood treats women over and would never want that for his own kids.

Speaking in a Hollywood Reporter roundtable discussion with actors including Richard Gere, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx, he said: ‘I would try to steer my daughters away from acting. Women are in a different business than we are. It is just brutal for women. For men, the roles get really good at 40 and beyond. And that’s when you really start doing your best work.’

Matt also thinks fame has changed how other people treat him.

He explained: ‘When we started writing ‘Good Will Hunting’, I was 22 and Ben was 20 and it came out when I was 27 and he was 25. I always had this theory that your kind of a retard emotionally the moment you become famous. It’s not that you change, the world changes this relationship to you. So your entire reality shifts and that’s a jarring experience and hard to prepare for.’

Oct 14 Matt Damon blames gray hair on his four daughters 0
Filed in: General News , Personal News

Matt Damon, 41, is sporting gray hair, and blames his daughters.

Damon has four children with his wife Luciana, all girls: Alexia, 14, Isabella, 6, Gia, 4, and 23-month-old Stella.

People noted how Damon appeared with his gray hair while supporting Ben Affleck at the Argo movie dinner at Porter House steakhouse in New York. The Bourne trilogy actor told People Stylewatch, “I point out all of the gray and I say to my daughters, ‘You did this and you did this and you did this.’”

Of course he was joking, and his daughters understand it because according to him, “They really think it’s funny.”

Yahoo reported Damon is proud of his gray hair, but movie executives prefer to hide it.

Damon explained, ”They dyed the grey out for We Bought a Zoo, but I was like, ‘I like my grey hair.’ I’m proud of it.”

However, recently Damon shaved his head bald for a movie role and wears a beanie to endure the cold New York weather.

Sep 14 Ben Affleck, Matt Damon become neighbors 0
Filed in: General News , Personal News

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon have become neighbors.

The two childhood friends are living by one another again after Damon purchased a $15-million mansion in the Pacific Palisades district in Los Angeles right near his pal’s property.

Affleck is thrilled that Damon has made the move with his family – wife Luciana and daughters, Alexia, Isabella, six, Gia, four, and 23-month-old Stella – although he admits the pair’s expectations about parenthood have changed a lot over the years.

The 40-year-old actor – who has three children, daughters Violet, six, and Seraphina, three, and six-month-old son Samuel with his wife Jennifer Garner – told the Boston Herald newspaper: “We’re closer than we were in Central Square (in Cambridge, Massachusetts). We’ve got the kids back and forth in the yards. The weird thing is, when we imagined hanging out with our kids together, it would be like playing football and baseball. But it’s all these girls playing princess!”

Damon’s new home boasts six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, swimming pool and sprawling garden.

The two friends famously won the Best Original Screenplay Oscar and a Golden Globe Award for Best Screenplay for their 1997 movie ‘Good Will Hunting’. — Bang Showbiz

Aug 18 Jennifer Garner, Ben Affleck Take Kids to Matt Damon’s Pool Party 0
Filed in: General News , Personal News

Little Samuel Affleck is already mingling with Hollywood’s elite!

Jennifer Garner, 40, and Ben Affleck, 39, took their three children, Violet, 6, Seraphina, 3, and Samuel, 7 months, to a pool party at Matt Damon’s home in Pacific Palisades, Calif. August 11. Oscar winners Affleck and Damon, 41, have been friends since the early 1990s.

As Affleck looked after their girls, a braless Garner — wearing a black tee and blue jeans — carried her adorable baby boy.

Odd Life of Timothy Green actress Garner recently spoke with Extra about what it’s like to have a baby boy in the family. “It’s absolute chaos!” the actress admitted. “I really did not realize how much more work three was going to be than two.”

Garner also confirmed Us Weekly**’s previous report that Affleck was hoping to have one more child with his wife of seven years. “The fact that Ben wants another is true,” she said. “[But] I am not anticipating having any more kids!”
Damon, meanwhile, has three children of his own with his wife, Luciana, 36: Isabella, 6, Gia, 3, and Stella, 1. The We Bought a Zoo actor also has a stepdaughter, Alexia Barroso, 13. The Damons met in Miami, Florida and were married in 2005.

“Like any father, I’m concerned a little about her [Alexia] becoming a teenager, because I know just what teenage boys are thinking,” Damon said in an interview with the U.K.’s Radio Times in 2011. “Luckily, she is a terrific kid and the best you can hope for is that you are raising someone who has a lot of self-esteem and a lot of common sense.”

Unlike Affleck, Damon isn’t looking to add to his brood. “With four I’m kind of hoping they pair off and leave us alone!” he told Jay Leno in 2011.

Jan 6 Matt Damon’s happiest moment 0
Filed in: Personal News

Matt Damon says his happiest moments were in bed making his children.

The ‘Contagion’ actor has three daughters, Isabella, five, Gia, three and Stella, 14 months with his wife Luciana Barroso and is also stepfather to her daughter Alexia, 12, from a previous relationship and the Hollywood hunk says his family are the most important part of his life.

Asked by Vanity Fair for their Proust questionnaire, when and where he was happiest, Matt answered: ‘In our bed, making our children, and in the hospital watching them being born.’

Matt also revealed his personal motto is ‘Don’t be a d-bag.’

Matt has previously revealed he loves being surrounded by females even though his daughters find it easy to manipulate him.

He said: ‘When Isabella was 18 months, she was trying to get a treat out of me. I said no and she asked me again so I caved in.

‘Then my wife came into the room. Isabella looked up at her mother, shyly smiled and put her head down. I knew that at 18 months old, this creature had control over me.

‘Men don’t have a chance. I feel we’re such different species.’

Dec 21 Exclusive: Matt Damon, Family Man 0
Filed in: Personal News

Academy Award winner Matt Damon says he can relate to Benjamin Mee, the character he plays in the new Cameron Crowe film, “We Bought a Zoo.”

“I think mostly because I saw it as a love story between this guy and his wife,” says Damon.

Mee is a Los Angeles newspaper columnist and adventure writer who, as a single father, faces the challenges of raising his two young kids. Looking to give his family a much needed fresh start, he moves to a home situated in the middle of a zoo, which he and his two children will attempt to bring back to life.

“She passed away (Mee’s wife) but he is still equally in love with her and trying to kind of keep it together,” says Damon. “That really resonated with me. I would be hopeless without Lucy (Damon’s wife of six years).”

Damon tells Anderson that there are things that only a mother can give to her child. “I just see in my wife… the way she can talk to our kids and I am just thankful that she is there.”

The father of four, who says his heart grew five times when he became a dad, tells Anderson that when it comes to disciplining his kids, he’s a “total pushover.’

“You know where your partner is strong and you are weak,” says Damon. “Or where you’re strong and picking up slack for them. It really helps to have two people doing it.”

Damon and his wife, Lucy (Luciana), have a parenting trick he calls “Tag Team Parenting.”

“If you’re burning out… we treat it like tag team wrestling. Where we’re like… ‘tag.'”

Sometimes, as a parent, you need to walk around the block and take a breather. Damon says to his wife, “I am going to go over and get a cup of coffee. I will be back in 20 minutes but I need to get some air. And it’s understood.”

“I like the idea of tag team parenting,” says Anderson.

“We literally say, “tag.” You have to do that.”
